Iím having dinner tonight with a group of friends. This year we have tried to pick a different country each month to celebrate. This evening is Germany as it is Oktoberfest. I made a Black Forest Trifle! The cake smells so yummy, I canít wait to try it.

Remind me again of your address. I forgot to put it in my GPS. Also, what time do you expect us?

That does look delicious!

Wow! That looks awesome. I am going to a lunch meeting in Dec. and the theme is around the world. I don't know which country I'll be assigned, or maybe I will get to choose. Maybe it will be Germany!

Here's what I did...

I made a boxed chocolate cake (devil's food) in a 9x13 dish on Thursday and loosely wrapped it. Today, I cut it into approximately 1x1 inch pieces.

Layered cake pieces, chocolate pudding, Cool Whip, cherries, chopped (I hammered it) chocolate and then repeated the layers. I crumbled up a couple of pieces of cake on the top layer, added bit more chopped chocolate and then added a few Marischino cherries.

Shopping list: box cake mix & ingredients to make it, instant pudding & the milk to make it, 1 small container of Cool Whip, 1 can of cherry pie filling, Marischino cherries (optional), large Hershey's chocolate bar (optional).

I had intended to use the Hershey's bar to make chocolate curls but I got lazy.
