Prayers for pups

My 86 year old uncle passed away last week leaving 3 of the cutest little dogs. I canít take them, even though itís breaking my heart. They may get new homes, but theyíll be separated unless a Christmas miracle happens. Please pray for these sweet little pups.

MAY get new homes? It sounds like your uncle did not make arrangements for them.

Sadly this frequently happens to pets when their senior owner dies and it breaks my heart. It really is important that all of us who are older and have pets to have someone lined up AND designated in our will who will either take them on (with compensation for their care) or to make sure they are re-homed.

Where are they now? Since you canít take them on please ask their vet for help or a rescue. I sincerely hope they donít end up in an animal shelter where their chance of adoption is probably slim. They look to be seniors.

Iím sorry you lost your uncle and am sending prayers for the pups.

Oh, I am so sorry about your uncle and his pups. Sometimes people are willing to take a “family” especially in these circumstances. Sending positives thoughts that it happens that way.

I hope you are able to get them placed in a no kill shelter. I volunteer for one and I know they would work really hard to keep them together.

Please keep us updated. My heart is breaking.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope you can contact some rescue groups. Years ago, Years ago, my family adopted an older dog under these same circumstances. He was the perfect dog. He was house trained, crate trained, well past the "puppy stage." Perfect for a family, and probably would have been perfect for another senior looking for companionship. Most likely, someone is looking for such a pet. They will adjust to being separated, if the new owner is aware of things and willing to be patient!

Do NOT just give the dog away to anyone if you are doing this on your own. Dogs are used a bait for training other dogs to fight. These cruel people get "give away" dogs this way. Do an extensive background check, calling the person's vet, checking addresses, don't be fooled.

Please look into rescue groups in your surrounding areas to give these dogs a chance. Let them know as much as you can about the dogs because that will help the rescue group find good homes that will be a proper fit. It's probably what your uncle would have wished someone to do!

Sorry for the loss of your uncle. I agree with others to contact local rescues. They should be able to help rehome them and try to keep them together. Keeping my fingers crossed for that Christmas miracle!

A lot of local rescues will place bonded pups together. Hope they find new homes.

Sorry for your loss.

My condolences on the passing of your uncle.

His dogs are adorable. I pray they are able to find a home together. Please, as others have said if they need to be placed in a shelter be sure it is a No Kill.

Do you live? If you are in my area, we might have a Christmas miracle. Good luck to those sweet pups.

Weíre in the Chicago area. I will do anything to keep them together even if I have to take them myself. They will find a home somehow. I appreciate everyoneís prayers and advice. Iíll let you know what happens.

Oh no!! That is too bad. Is the local shelter taking them? Getting someone to take three dogs is going to be tricky. Even two. I love dogs, but I cannot handle more than one right now.

Keep us posted. Maybe help spread the word via social media or FB?

I am sorry about your uncle and am praying for those sweet pups! If I lived closer and didn't already have 2 dogs I would take those adorable guys in a heartbeat!
