GOAT Jeopardy tourney-- spoiler

Yay Ken. What a great tournament, especially between Ken and James. I was surprised that Brad was not much of a contender. He talked about his recall slipping. I see that as a sign of aging, so I was surprised he was only in his 40ies. It was great TV.

I totally agree with you. All three are smart and talented, but I'm glad it was Ken. I like his personality and he's from the northwest. It's hard to watch Alex Trebek though.

Ken is the man!!!! We love Ken in our house. My DD made a t-shirt when he was on 15 years ago that said #1 Ken Jennings fan. She had that t-shirt on all day today!!!

So happy for Ken!!!!!!!!!!!!

James needs to man up and take the marbles out of his mouth! Stop touching everyone!!!

Yes I will probably get bashed, but oh well that's what makes America go round!

Yay Ken!!!! What an intense Final Jeopardy! I had never seen Brad before and was totally unimpressed haha. I was never a James fan. The way he clench/smiles drives me a little nuts I did like how the players all joked with each other.

Poor Alex is not looking well at all, but good for him for still doing the show

Im so happy for Ken! Hes always been my favorite! James was great too, but I felt bad for Brad. I enjoyed the humor between all three of them. I agree that Alex is not looking well.

I am glad for Ken, but was secretly hoping for James to at least extend the program another nigbt.

I wonder if James's example of betting true daily doubles made an impression on Ken. Do you recall him ever being an aggressive double better on his previous shows?

I enjoyed the tournament. Though a James fan, I definitely think Ken deserved to win and did it in style.

Nitpicking:
*I was so uncomfortable for Brad—to me it felt like a 2-person tourney and he was just filling a stage slot.
*James seemed to overdo his admiration for Ken; to me it seemed like James was begging Ken to like him. Too kissy-uppy for me.
*I liked last night because I finally knew a lot of answers. Did it seem easier to you?
*I liked the personal-history-with-Jeopardy stories, especially Ken’s son being 2 when he started, then driving him to the airport for this tournament.

I didn't get to see all of the tournament, but enjoyed watching. Wish it could have more of a three way battle, but Brad seemed off' his game. I could have gone one more night!
NPR did a lengthy story on James during his winning streak. He is quite the family man. He used children's nonfiction books to help prepare. I got a vivid picture of him pouring over the Usborne series!

I'm glad Ken won but like others I wish it had gone on longer. I heard a long NPR interview with James back when he was winning, he's an interesting guy. I didn't know anything about Brad and still don't. For those who are both Ken and podcast fans, he does a podcast with a friend called Omnibus. The idea is that they are compiling a time capsule of "interesting stuff" for people in the future to listen to.

There was an audible gasp and groan when James missed the final jeopardy answer. We were pulling for him. He changed the game for me. It did feel like Brad was way off his game and I felt bad for him.

But gotta admit, Ken is one smart man. We are betting hell become the new host when Alex steps down.

Really enjoyed the whole tournament.

I think he would be a great host. I cannot think of a celebrity who could do better.

Well, I have it recorded but was unable to avoid spoilers (not this post, thanks for the spoiler alert). I was rooting for Ken, so I'm happy. I just subscribed to his podcast, so thanks for that info. And Ken taking over for Alex when the time comes seems like a perfect solution.

Amiga:
I felt uncomfortable for Brad also...maybe I should have wished for three more episodes so each man could have won two rounds each.

I was upset with James's funny/not'so_funny jab at Brad for having the same score (0) at the beginning of the seond game.

I did know some of last night's answers but did not know the final.
I liked the personal histories as well.

And everyone,
Ken would be a GREAT host! I hope someone has a hint this is a possibility! It won't be the same without Alex but we would surely miss the show if it ends for good.

I also enjoyed the tournament and the interaction between the three. I do agree with Amiga that last night seemed easier. I actually swept the "ish" category!

My husband and I got caught up last night (thank you Hulu!). Ken Jennings was so clearly the superior contestant. I liked it was so clear cut. Brad was so off his game, it was embarrassing.

It was probably intended as a good natured jibe, but came off as a mean spirited dig. It made me dislike James even more.
