Though For King and Country's version of Little Drummer Boy is absolutely amazing!

If we're talking traditional carols, I love the Sussex Carol.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cmfCq8iKgY

If we're talking more contemporary Christmas music, I love "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Casting Crowns.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7670CXvPX0
I've always loved this poem and there are many beautiful settings of it, but this is my favorite.

If you don't happen to know the story behind how Longfellow came to write the poem, it's worth knowing because it adds to much to understanding it.

Silent Night

This is from the new Sing! An Irish Christmas album, recorded live at The Grand Ole Opry House earlier this fall. Keith and Kristyn Getty encourage audience sing along at their concerts. This is the audience, accompanied by Phil Keaggy on guitar, as it was first done 201 years ago on Christmas Eve because the church organ was damaged. History of Silent Night

My favorite is the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Christmas Canon”.

It uses the beautiful tune of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D Major, and features a children’s choir.

My favorite carol is “Mary Did You Know?”. I was lucky enough to hear it last night at an Irish Christmas concert we attended.
I also like James Taylor’s version of Deck the Halls.”

This song is not as well known as some of my other favorites, but I always try to find some version of it to listen to this time of year.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TVxe91EmNcg

(I hope I posted this correctly. It’s supposed to be Tennessee Ernie Ford singing the song.)

And sorry about the ever-present ShenYun commercial before you can see it.
