Team building activity

DH works part time at Chick fil a. Tonight, they had their Christmas party. I didn't go with him because I'm fighting an upper respiratory infection, and I was hoping to sleep it off before tomorrow. Anyway, they had a dinner, and gave out gifts to their employees, and then announced their team building activity. They broke into groups and went to WalMart. Each group was told to find someone that they could help pay for their groceries. The person that DH's group chose cried. She told them that her daughter was going through chemotherapy, and money was tight.
This was not reported to the news or done in any way to draw attention to Chick Fil a. It was just something the owner wanted to do for the community.

It is great they did not want publicity. They are a great company.

Very cool!

My local Chick-fil-A is very active in the community. The owners bday is in the summer and she dies a drive collecting backpacks of school supplies for those in need.

They also have programs connected with the elementary, middle, & high school kids

She is a true community supporter.

I love that!!! I wish I had money to hand over to someone, I really do. I love giving way more than getting.

What a great story! How great that DH's group was able to help someone who was going through a rough time and lessen their load a little.

So beautiful! Also I love that instead of just donating money, the Chick fil a owner let his employees be part of giving back to the community. Iím sure all the employees appreciated it.
