I feel so blessed to be able to walk out my door, exercise-by-walking, and take some fun local pictures. Often I come home and google what I’ve seen.
Quote:
When visiting this dramatic, narrow beach in the wealthy La Jolla enclave, take time to admire—and photograph—its single surf shack. One of San Diego’s most important surf-culture icons, the wooden palapa is actually a designated historic landmark, built in the 1940s by soldiers and surfers who served in World War II and reconstructed as recently as 2016. Windansea is also known for its pounding, experts-only surf break; you should attempt it only if you’re experienced, but it’s just as fun to watch from atop the beach’s smooth sandstone rocks. For some peace and quiet, sunbathe in one of this stretch’s secluded pockets.

Is cause for concern and caution with our cats! Their old one quit working so we got a new, different one. Click image for larger version

Cat woman

Your pic made me smile! It's so true, anything different in the house, and cats are right there to check it out!

I'm sure your cats will enjoy their new water dispenser!

We added a new member to our house... but we may have to return it because the cat has health problems that were not disclosed when I got her. And they are life long problems.

Don’t be angry... I’ve spent $300 out of my pocket to get her healthy.

This is an oil pastel that my youngest daughter created copying Van Gogh's Crows in a Wheatfield (bottom picture). She decided to add some nests and people (She is the pink person and her daddy is the green person).

amiga, I love it! Can you just hang out there at low tide?
Quack, isn’t it heartwarming when they always want to add in their family?

This is a photo of a different sort...I ordered two shirts, one in white, one in blue. This is what I received. Should have known better because they came from China...

Great photos, everyone! Thank you for sharing your lives!
Earlier this week I was visiting DD#2 in Seattle, and woke up to this scene.
I know that this is probably normal for many of you, but for me coming from toasty warm SoCal it was winter wonderland.

The top picture is Molly starting at me, sure she’s starving.

The bottom picture is Molly and Mason staring at me waiting for more baby food.

We’re heavily food motivated.

I take my kids to a nearby canyon in summer, fall, winter, and spring to observe seasonal changes. Here is my annual "oh Lord, why did I think this was a good idea?" pic. I am all babushka-ed up. My husband says I'm never more Polish than when it is cold!

But, my class got a good seasonal observation, so it was worth the spur of the moment walking field trip. I am so grateful to have a P who "gets it." We are supposed to submit FT requests two weeks in advance...yeah, I gave two minutes notice!

Babushka - love it. Grew up with that. My dad calls a plastic or paper bag a Ukrainian suitcase. His mom was from the Prussian Empire. Dad is 90.

This was in my tire Wednesday after school.

We have been under construction or getting a roof or driving around a construction zone for a few years. So. Many. Screws. I’ve gotten enough nails and screws in my tires that DH made sure we purchased the extended tire warranty for my new car. Three months.

At least I got a new tire.

CVT, your photo is beautiful. I live in the Seattle area, and we had 3 snow days, and a 2 hour late start this week. Still icy and snowy in the neighborhood and school parking lot, which are never plowed. I hate to drive in the snow. So glad to be back to our good old rain.

Thanks, Shelby3. I really enjoyed walking through the quiet streets with virgin snow.
TeaPro, thanks, and yes, I was there on Monday when my granddaughters' schools had a 2 hour late start. DD#2 told me about the subsequent snow days and the icy roads.
