Hi Everyone,

Next week I am going to be getting observed by my professor for my 2nd clinical experience. My setting is in a special education, self contained multi needs room...middle school...about 8 students...all of them read at about the 1st grade level..mostly cognitive disabilities. I was thinking of reading a story, having them read parts, and teaching a strategy? like making predictions or comprehension? and then making some type of a bookmark as a class....

Just wanted some opinions on a good book to use or other activities to include, I'm having a hard time because they are all so individualized and I've only known them for a couple of weeks!

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
