I do Braintrasers and a variety of puzzles. I tried to set it up so I have the same type each day or the week:

Monday: abbreviation puzzles-/I give two or three and then we discuss

Tuesday: boggle type puzzle—how many words an you make (google an electronic boggle board)

Wednesday: plexers similar to this

Thursday: Quote of the week—I find pretty graphics and post them to be reflected on in their journals, then discussed

Friday: Finish the drawing: I post a squiggle or half done drawing and they have to copy it and then add onto it the finish the picture. Here’s an example http://activeafterschool.ca/activities/finish-drawing
