Mini Tool/Gift idea needed

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Every year I give out a small gift to my volunteers with a little message attached, usually some kind of pun to go with the gift. In the past I've given mini plants/seeds (thanks for helping us grow), mini flashlights (you light up our class), a nice pen (you're the write stuff), and various mints (your help "mint" a lot). I have several repeat volunteers, so I need something new each year!

I want to stay away from more candy--that's hit or miss for some people. Everyone really liked the flashlights, so I was thinking along the lines of a mini-tool. I have men and women, so I need something appropriate for either.

What do you think about a mini-tape measure? Pocket sized, with a retractable button to pull it back in? Does anyone else have a similar idea? I looked at mini timers, but they're a little more expensive and I have to get a lot.

A key ring with a note that says “You have been a key to our success.”

A decorative note pad with a sign that says “Take note, you’ve been an excellent volunteer!”

Pens/pencils with a note that says “Thank you for taking us in the write direction.

I keep a mini tape measure in my purse and it has saved the day many times. I think it would be a great gift.

I received a small measuring tape from an in-service I was at and always keep it in my purse. It really comes in handy. I think that’s a great idea and something a little different.

Have you heard of the Ninja wallet tool? It is like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074DDK6R5...a-87394bc783d5

(This is actually a good deal in itself...)

Well, they also make a lot of key-shaped tools that do that too. You could get them a small keychain with their names or a sweet saying on it and include a key-shaped multitool.

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...y+shaped+tools

I have a small flashlight and one of these on my school lanyard.
