Reader's Theater

I agree with vttraveler. I would suggest also using Reader's Theater to help him with practicing reading aloud in front of others. He may just feel real nervous and uncomfortable reading in front of others, therefore his comprehension suffers. Through Reader's Theater, it provides the opportunity for improving public speaking, oral reading skills, listening skills, fluency skills, and group interaction. After reading the script, I would have the students discuss the story in groups. This should help him in comprehending the story.
