Can't fall asleep!

I'm sure I have asked this before... I used to take Trazodone for sleep, but it started pooping out. It was also causing me to become forgetful and forget words. Not fun in front of a class full of students!

I haven't been able to fall asleep before 1 am. Not a really big deal since it's summer and I can sleep in. But come the start of school, this will obviously not work.

I've tried pills with lavender, valerian, and chamomile. I've tried Xanax (though I don't want to use this for sleep, it's addictive), and I'm desperate. Wondering if melatonin or something else might help.

Melatonin is worth a shot. Iíve been using it to help me fall asleep some this summer.

I frequently have this issue and I've used Benadryl. A nurse I know said to try the Equate (Walmart brand) sleep aid. It works good for me without that figgy hangover feeling in the morning.

Magnesium is good. I take Mag Glycinate but a lot of PTers swear by Natural Calm which you can get on Amazon.

Iíve also used the the My Sleep Button app which surprisingly helps me a lot.

I tried melatonin, but it doesn't work that great on me. What actually works for me is the My Sleep Button app. It helps clear my head and puts me to sleep. Also try the Calm app, it's free for teachers.

I had the W0RST insomnia my whole life until I got a Tempurpedic mattress and started taking Natural Calm. I highly recommend you do a search of this board for Natural Calm. It is pure magic!!

Natural calm, melatonin or Benadryl are my go tos. Super anxiety days = 2 of the 3. One time I did all 3 then I was too anxious to sleep because I was afraid I would sleep through my alarm. Most often I go with the melatonin. I like natural calm but Iíve been having digestive tract issues and it can really loosen things up.

Natural Calm and a meditation app work for me!

Good luck! Now that school has begun (tomorrow), I, too, am unable to fall asleep. Mind is already racing...

The juice Cheribundi is great for sleep; drink a glass before 6 pm. I buy it at Costco in a 3 pack.
