Hi there! I just posted about CA so I figured I'd try the same for Indiana. My husband has three incoming job offers and a week to decide. I would love to hear what you can tell me about teaching in Indiana, job prospects, and the area in general. The job is in Columbus. I am aware of the new evaluation based pay. I'm from Colorado and have never been to the Midwest! Thanks for any help or info!

I am from up North, but Columbus is affordable. You can find a decent home for $125,000 or so. I do know, the south side of Indianapolis is growing rapidly with plenty of new schools and is not too far from Columbus. And, if you can't find a teaching job, there are several nonprofits and youth development agencies to work for.
