My FIRST smart phone-Moto X

Ok don't laugh... I'm a single mother of three kids living on a teacher's salary... smartphones with internet access have not been a priority within my budget... Recently I've paid some bills off and took the leap to upgrade. Now I have my first smart phone... a Moto X (android). Can anyone recommend good aps to download? I have zedge (sp?) the ringtone/wallpaper ap, the weather ap, and of course fb. What else? I'm not big into using it for games unless it's candy crush (darn that game)... Thanks for the recommendations! Happy Weekend!

I still don't have one! I am planning to upgrade in June unless we change cell providers. Have fun with it!

Enjoy your phone- mine is a year old.

I have mostly organizational/practical ( read boring but useful apps)

I use Map My Walk to track my walk, time, distance, mph, and yes there is a map in case I take a wrong turn in a new city.

Out of Milk is great for shopping lists, also has area grocery store weekly specials listed

What's App is a great texting tool if you or someone is in a different country and you don't want to pay roaming charges. We've even used it in a different country to text each other when we went to different places. You can include photos so it became a travel blog for family when we traveled. I'm not a world traveler but last year DH and I did take a trip to Italy. We have friends in other countries that we text with through What's App.

I just got my first smart phone too, so you're not the last one.
So far my husband has played with it way more than I have. I'm lucky I can text and answer a call!

How about your local news station. It is a way to get news when it is not time for the news.

I like the free flashlight app. It has come in handy more than I ever thought. I also like trip advisor for finding restaurants or hotels.

I use this all the time--my grocery list, list of books to read, items I'm looking for, etc. You can even store your passwords in a locked page on the app. Also, you can email the lists you have made! And it was free.
