Anyone had this?

Saturday, I think I pulled a muscle in my back. Not sure what I did, but it hurt ALL day. Sunday I was still hurting but not as bad. Today, I'm still hurting - about like yesterday, but the pain has radiated down. It started in my lower left back and is on the side of my thigh (the back pain is stabbing and sharp, but the leg pain is achy and dull).

Has anyone had this before? What was it? What did you do?
I am miserable...

You have sciatica. Go see a doctor or a chiropractor. A pinched nerve can eventually cause permanent damage. I am going to call my pain doctor to get in for another epidural soon.

Yep. Sounds like your sciatic nerve. Try a heating pad, anti inflammatory med like ibuprofen, and gentle stretching. That's what I have done for it the two times I've had problems. Massage helps too. If it doesn't get better, I would see a doctor.

Critter,

Yes, that does sound like sciatica. My husband had a problem with sciatica too so I told him that I read about someone with sciatica who stopped wearing his wallet (or maybe a phone) in his back pocket, the problem vanished! My husband moved his wallet to the front pocket and his pain disappeared, too.

My chiropractor did an amazing job helping me with my sciatica! Hope you heal quickly!
