Do any of you have a blog or website that you use to keep parents informed as well as interact with students? I keep finding lots of sites and blogs for primary rooms or high school classes but not many for intermediate. I teach 5th grade science if that matters, but would like to see any intermediate blogs or sites.

I have a website that I use to keep my parents informed about the goings on in class. I am a 5th grade self-contained. Here is the link to take a look if you want.

I'm using Glogster. It is free and super easy. Last year, I used FrontPage and it was NOT easy!! I hated it and didn't keep up with it like I should have because it was such a hassle. Here is mine...keep in mind, I've just started it so there's not much there yet.

I just "updated" my site because I'm moving to 3rd grade but this is pretty much the site I had with 5th grade too. We do blogging together after a certain point in the year (1 students does a blog entry a week). I'll be adding more pages before the year begins. I like webs as a host because I can use my own graphics and it's fairly user friendly.

I use wetpaint wiki. I teach 5/6 (all subjects) in Canada. I use it to update information such as curriculum goals each month and include a monthly calendar of events.

You can check it out at

Your site looks amazing. I have a question about shutterfly. Can you add clip art? I don't have any class pics yet and suggestions? How do you spell check your doc.
Thanks

Your site looks great. Did it take you a long time to set it up?

How fun to see everyone's web sites. They all look so different, and yet have very similar ideas.

I am a new teacher thinking of doing a website rather than just providing my email address. I really like all of the sites I visited they have given me food for thought. Not sure which site I will use but am looking at shutterfly. Thank you for sharing.
