Who knows what they'll be saying in 3 hours, 3 days, or 3 weeks?

Those tests wouldn't even be valid.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some kind of federal waiver given across the country. Unless things get back to normal a lot quicker than expected.

Everyday is a new message... I can't keep up. The uncertainty of each day and the inability to rely on any message is so frustrating. If we can't get back to school, this will all change again.

Iíd be surprised, since the President said that this may last until July or August.

Starr- I totally agree... I donít think thereís any way that you can have some stated test and not others. I live right outside of DC, and Iím watching the press conference now- sounds like theyíre shutting down a lot of places.

They just ended a special report on tv where the President and the health officials, etc setting some new guidelines:
didn't they just come on tv and suggest that all states close schools for at least the next 15 days?
No gatherings of more than 10 people
States should close all restaurants, gyms, etc
States should close schools
(they will go into meetings to discuss if daycares should close)

Kids can't take a state test if the schools are closed.

They say this now but I'm curious as to what it holds in the long term. As it stands now, we're out an equivalent amount of time to a really bad snow year. We've had really bad snow years before (and yeah they've been bad, not the rain closings we had this year). In those years, we've had tests as normal and it's kinda sucked but it is what it is. I would be thrilled if life has returned back to normal by April 14th and we're all back at school. If that happened,it would mean that things returned to normal enough that our life could resume as planned. I'd be glad to complain about the stress of the testing. I get the feeling though that this is not their final decision.
