Cardiac conversion did not work so they’re keeping him overnight. Personally, I’m glad about that because then he can’t say he feels ok when he doesn’t.
My mom tested positive for COVID so I’ll go get his things and keep him company tomorrow.
Parents are really hard to raise. I know everyone here talks about how hard adult kids are, but let’s just take a moment and talk about how hard parents are. Seriously, I’m glad I’m here. I’d be really unhappy if I was still in IL.
Oh, and mom asked if “her boy” was coming over to keep her company tomorrow while I was at the hospital.
it pours. I bet your parents are relieved you are so close. It is nice Aik and your Mom can keep each other company. I hope they get your dad's issue under control soon. Take care of yourself!

Truer words, GG, truer words. I went through it with my parents and I remember how difficult it was. I have a friend going through it with her mom. Lots of hugs (for you AND Aik, of course) and positive vibes coming your way. Take care of yourself and your folks.
Wow! That's a lot on your plate, GreyhoundGirl. Hugs to you. Keeping you and your parents in my thoughts. Thanks so much for the updates on your dad. I truly hope your mom's case is mild. Try to find a moment to take care of yourself amid all this stree.
That is a lot going on! I hope your Dad's heart rhythm gets back to normal, and that your Mom has a very mild case. You ate right about raising parents, it is not easy!
Your parents are lucky to have you there, Greyhound. I’ve told my husband many times that he’ll never regret spending time with his mom and being there for her. You are blessed to have a close relationship with them.
Thanks for the updates. And yes, glad they're keeping him and with monitors besides him self monitoring. Hope things are going better for your dad today. So very glad you are there too because raising aging parents isn't easy. Let's hope your summer school experience stays laid back
Yes, they are. I was exhausted from caring for my mom for 9 years. And I’d do it again. It is good that you made that decision to move closer. Keeping you all on my prayer wheel.
Sending good thoughts for your family. I hope your dad is on the mend and doing well soon and I hope your mom's COVID is a light, quick case. Take care of yourself.
And a reminder, because you've got so much on your mind. Your mother's COVID-19 illness can likely be treated, either with paxlovid (oral drug) or with an IV of monoclonal antibodies. But it's important to treat soon after diagnosis.
Yes, they are! It is also hard being the only child that lives in the same place as your parents. My DH's first conversion did not work, but the second did. (I will have to say even that was temporary and he had to have an ablation after he went back into Afib again.). Praying that they can get your dad back into rhythm!
