Sweet letter from son to deceased pet

When my son was little and one of his two guinea pigs died, he was heartbroken. I found this old letter today. I guess he gave it to me to mail to Heaven. I don't even remember the letter. I just remember he was so upset. The paper was in an open box that hasn't been touched in years and is so nasty. I took a picture of the letter, then threw the letter away. Then I sent my son the picture. He was surprised I still had it. Honestly, so am I.

You did a wonderful job raising a compassionate child.

There are so many wonderful qualities that awaken in our souls when we have the privilege of being trusted with the care and love that goes into having a pet.

Your son's letter revealed his compassionate soul!

My class guinea pigs were S’mores and Oreo! They had 2 darling litters of sweet babies. Oreo was the mom and S’mores was dad. I love that your son’s GPs were so loved. What a wonderful letter!

That is a great letter, a perfect tribute to S'mores. I have leaky eyes.

That is so funny about the names being the same as 4 leaves's class guinea pigs' names. Their mama was Milkshake and their sister was named after another treat but I can't remember what my daughter named her. My son decided he had to keep the theme going and came up with Oreo and Smores. We loved having guinea pigs.and played with them every day. In nice weather, we took them outside , and put a cage top over them and let them eat grass in the front yard. So many neighbors out walking would stop and visit our guinea pigs. My son loved the attention and those evenings were so nice together.
