What to retake

I am thinking about what to retake (I was 2 points away), and I thought thst i definitely need to get C2 scores up. I'm worried that if I try again, I might get the same scores like some of the others I have seen on this board. Would it be worth it to take some of the exercises again to see if I can get a little higher, just in case I don't improve C2? Thanks!

Here are my scores:
Exercise 1: 2.750
Exercise 2: 3.0
Exercise 3: 3.0
Selected Item Response: 3.673

Component 2: 1.5
Component 3: 2.0
Component 4: 3.0

I would re do Comp 3 if I were you. Have you played around with the score calculator? After plugging in your scores, you only need to raise your comp 3 score by a tenth of a point.

I agree with MsTeacher. C1 and 3 carry so much weight (70% combined). I'd re-take Ex1 in C1 just as insurance. Based on your other C1 scores, you're likely to improve that one. Best luck!

C3

I thought about retaking C3 but I feel like I struggled with that even more than C2 (I know I scored higher on it, but I feel like the feedback was also much more helpful for C2 than C3). I am worried about not having enough time for C3 at this point... I was thinking if I took Exercise 1 and C3 I would have a good chance to pass. If I got a 3 on E1 like the other exercises I would only have to improve .1 on C2. C2 was my lowest, but I feel like that means I'm the most likely to improve there (I hope)! I'm not completely decided though so if you guys have thoughts, I'd appreciate advice

I get that, but C2 is worth HALF as much as C3.

How are the scores decided? I know generally, but could I improve by just .1 or would it always be by .25 or .5? Is.5 a really big jump?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you clarify your question? (I'm exhausted--Kindergarten in December is insane .)

Do you mean is it possible to get a 3.1 on C1? If so, yes, C1 scores are all kinds of decimal points!

2nd grade is crazy enough, I can't imagine Kindergarten!

And yes, I was wondering if I could get an increase of .1 for C3 or if they only score by .25 increments. I'm wondering if it will be easier for me to improve .1 for C3 for .5 for C2. C3 is is BEAST

C3 was my beast, too. So re-take Ex 1 and C2. You don't need crazy high scores--you're so close! I think it is very do-able.

I am trying to be positive and see it as a way to do even better and you are a major reason I am able to do that and not just be bitter. Thank you so much for all your help!

I think I will do C2 and some of C1 and really focus on that. Hopefully with extra time I can improve a lot and get the points I need!
