What size instant pot?

I am buying one! Debating between the 3qt and the 6qt. I cook for myself, but I always make recipes as is and eat leftovers and/or freeze. Can I make a typical recipe in a 3 qt? Many on amazon say yes, some say no.

6qt is much better in my opinion! You canít fit a whole chicken in the smaller one, or do a cheesecake, which I do a lot! I also like to make a big batch of bone broth, and 3qt wouldnít make much. Maybe some smaller recipes you could do in it, like rice, or a few chicken breasts, but I think the 6qt is more versatile.

I agree with getting a 6 quart. I cook for just me and it seems to be just right. It's nice to have leftovers for the next day.

Another vote for 6 quart. Most of the recipes are for 6 qt, larger pieces of meat wonít fit in a smaller pot and itís good to have leftovers!

Get the 6 quart. You can always use it to make something smaller but you can't use the 3 qt to make something larger.

I love our 6 qt Instant Pot. I mostly cook for Man and me. Sometimes there are left overs, sometimes not.
