Does anyone have that blue felt wall chart for Explode the Code....the one with all the little pockets for the letters? I just bought it and was hanging it up today and cannot for the life of me figure out what is in the "V" pocket! It's silver and looks like a pepper! Please help!

Vegetable? Though I don't know why it would be silver.

I have the books in my room but I've never had the wall chart. I was too curious so I googled it and found this:

The consensus here seems to be that the v is a vase.

Id be shocked if a child identified it as a vacuum. Most here would refer to it as a water bottle.

When I first started teaching, back in the dark ages obviously, the phonics books for st had a picture of a stile. I always had to identify the picture and explain how it was used.I taught in a small city and there wasnt a stile for miles.

Based on the picture, I would say it is a vessel.
