I've got a couple of those on the maples in my yard. Autumn is my favorite season, though, so I'm not bummed.

ETA: I looked at the photo again and noticed some brown spotting on that leaf surrounded by yellow. It's possible that a fungal infection is making that tree drop leaves earlier than usual. That happens to my trees once in a while but it's not an infection that will kill the trees.

What a beautiful, vibrant color!

I enjoy fall and am looking forward to cool, crisp mornings and comfortable humidity levels.

Fall leaves

I have always loved fall, but this year I am a bit wary every time I see a leaf fall from a tree. We moved to Maine this summer, it's far too early to give up summer, and I know a cold winter is on it's way. So today I spent the day practicing for winter by taking a lot of naps.

I blame each leaf that fluttered its way to the ground.

Oh my! It is still summer in the truest sense of the word in FL! Most of September is literally as hot as July and August here!

Grace.. it’s my favorite season too!

I’ve been telling my students at calendar time how excited I am about the fact that fall is coming. Once I’m back in school i am over summer!

Monday, September 23! 18 days away!
