Meal Ideas

I need to take a meal to a family who just lost a loved one. It's for two adults. So far the sign-ups seem to be heavy meals. I'm thinking something lighter. Any great ideas to share?

Why not take some Cesar dressing, Romaine lettuce rinsed and ready to go plus some grilled chicken. They can put it all together for a delicious meal when they are ready.

Chicken salad, maybe with some yummy bread? That way they don't even have to heat anything up and can eat as much or as little as they want.

How about soup? My go to is chicken enchilada soup along with some cornbread.

Agree with soup + bread/rolls + a salad, for a lighter alternative. And any leftover soup is easy to freeze.

I was going to suggest something like this as well! You could maybe also include other toppings if you wanted (such as croutons, onion, etc on the side) and maybe some sliced french bread for the side.

Thanks for thinking of them!
