My school uses Wonders and we have 60 minutes a day for literacy. That's it.
I'd like to meet with small groups, especially with the leveled readers the series comes with, but I can't seem to fit it all in! Does anyone have some advice?

Could you meet with half of the groups one day and the rest the next day? The groups you are not meeting with could be working on skills or partner reading.

I did what RetiredKat suggested. We used Journeys, so I had three levels of readers plus a separate vocab reader. Monday was whole-class to introduce the weekly unit. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were small-group days, working with the leveled readers. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I met with small groups and usually got them done. If they weren't in small groups, students had an activity or assignment to complete independently, plus read to self. On Thursday, they did read to partner using the vocab readers; I walked around to listen in. Friday was assessment day. I could devote additional time to ELA, so we did the bulk of our spelling, grammar and vocab during other time slots.
