My birthday is on October 10th and I'm thinking for the first time in my life is traveling somewhere I've never been before to spend Thursday-Sunday. Can't spend too long lol. I'm in the midwest (IL), I wonder where I should go. I know it sounds weird but I'm always working on my birthday, I wanted some time off for once.

are or how far you want to go, but I thing the hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque is around that time. It is awesome. Don't know if you could get a place to stay or not, but maybe.

Have fun whatever you decide to do.

Within the US: Santa Fe and also Carlsbad Caverns, which are 4 hours south, New Orleans (haven't been but hear great things), Seattle area, Portland area, Yosemite (if you can arrange lodging in the valley, which is pretty easy in October), Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, Boston...

Didn't go anywhere, hit the picket line for my union instead this week. Much more satisfying fighting for contract rights.
