Our whole school is dressing up for Halloween!
What would be a comfortable easy costume?
Any ideas?

I don't know I'm trying to think of something myself... I'll keep checking this posting to see what others suggest! I need an idea too!

Have you ever checked out childfun.com? They have lots of homemade costumes - yes i know for children, but I've done many for myself - the year steve irwin died, in his honor I was the crocodile hunter - khaki plus foam crocodile - easy to take on and off - check it out!

I did a tacky tourist one year (hawaiian clothes, socks and sandals, camera around my neck, I put sunglasses on and used blush to color my whole face then took the sunglasses off and left the white show..., straw hat, map in your pocket. ),

country girl (jeans, plaid, bandana, etc. )

Pippi Longstocking if you have long hair (use a coat hanger for the braids

(not sure if great for school) but I did a nerd last year (not in school) it was hysterical!

Bunnicula

I'm going as Bunnicula (must be a character at my school). I'll wear white sweatpants, a white shirt, black hoodie, and black bunny ears. Add some vampire teeth and I'm good!

I've also done Fern from Charlotte's Web and one of the three blind mice (my two teammates were the other two).

Last year I went as Starbucks. I printed a dollar bill graphics and stars and sewed them on an old jogging outfit. Then I just carried my Starbucks mug for the parade. It took a while for both students and adults to figure it out. It was quick and easy to do.

Tree

I'm being a tree. I bought a $5 Green Hanes sweatshirt and sewed a $1 bag of fake leaves onto the sweatshirt. Going to wear brown cords (trunk) and a brown turtleneck underneath the sweatshirt. The finishing touch- a headband with a fake nest ($2 at Walmart) and fake bird glued onto it (also $2 at WalMart). Total cost- $10 and hopefully it should be cute and comfortable!
