How many yard duty people do you average for approximately 220 students on the playground/field?

I always thought 2 teachers were never enough. One at one end of a huge playground and one at the other. Starting this year elementary teachers no longer have yard duty in my district, yay!

When I taught 1st and 4th (same school) we had four teachers on duty, one at each corner of the playground. There were around 150 students.

In the district where I sub in SC, one grade level goes out for recess at a time. Depending on the size of the school, that might be 4 or 5 classes. The teachers of primary grades all go out to supervise, so the ratio is the same as in the classroom. In the upper grades, one or two teachers has a break. They rotate playground duty to have some days off and some days on.
