I know most people on this board do not know her but she is one of my favs from the 1960's. She could sing, dance and act. Not many stars of today can say that. She was the first to do romanic comedy in film which is my favorite genre. So she was also a comedian. What a talent! And she lived to be 97 years old. Rest in peace Doris. You will be missed.

I loved her. You’re right, she was multitalented. She was also a fervent advocate of animal rights. She will definitely be missed.

My mother loved her. Then DD, when she was a young teen, discovered the old Doris Day-Rock Hudson movies and loved them. We enjoyed watching them together (I loved her clothes). Rest In Peace, Doris Day. And thank you.

Hadn't heard she'd died, but I loved her, too. I thought she was so pretty and just all out cute in her ways.
She lived a long life...rest in peace.

I enjoyed some of her movies: Please Don't Eat the Daisies and didn't she have a tv show too? She was a lovely person!

I loved her, too. Multi-talented, as you said, and The Doris Day Show is on Netflix or Hula.

I loved her and her hotel in Carmel by the sea. She lied about her age when she joined Les Brown’s band. Said she was 18....she was only 16,

sang Que sera sera to me. Mom has such a beautiful singing voice. Now it is hard for her to remember the words. Loved Doris Day.

She was popular before my time, but I really enjoy watching movies from the 60s (I find them very soothng, for some reason), so I've watched several of hers. I don't remember the titles, but I know there was one she started in with David Niven and one I think with Jimmy Stewart (besides the Hitchcock one). She was a so great in all of them.

Loved all of her movies and her TV show. She was so talented and had that sparkle about her. Yet her personal life was full of tragedy and sadness - sort of like Debbie Reynolds’ life - married all the wrong men, etc. She will surely be missed. RIP Doris Day!

She was indeed very talented! My mom loved her. I do remember she had a show that I watched with my mom every week. RIP Doris Day!

I got her biography delivered to me on Saturday. On Friday night I rewatched “The Man Who Knew Too Much” and loved how beautiful she was, and loved hearing her belting out “Que Sera, Sera” in the film’s vital moment! 💕💕💕”Midnight Lace “ is another movie I have of hers - a good thriller! I have several of her CD’s - such a lovely voice. I am sorry she is gone, but grateful for the gifts she shared with us.

Her manager/husband died. After his death she found out he had signed a contract for her to do a TV show. It was not something she wanted to do but she wanted to honor her contract. Her son stepped in and helped her to make the show a success.

If you listen carefully to the first few seasons of Call The Midwife her music is used as background. It is often at the very end of each episode.

I always loved Doris Day too. I was intrigued with the 60s; and, to me, she was the quintessential 60s woman. Pillow Talk and Move Over, Darling were two of my favorite movies as a kid, and I liked the aforementioned Please Don’t Eat the Daisies as well.

Love Me or Leave Me with James Cagney and Julie where she plays a flight attendant with an obsessed husband are good examples of her dramatic talent. Also, Teacher's Pet with Clark Gable is a movie rarely shown but so good. Drama and comedy combined. I cried when I saw that she had died.
