My Canadian Friends

Need some assistance. I am sending a mostly food care package to a friend of my DDs. He is a Canadian citizen and just moved back for work. But lived in US for several years.

It has been suggested I send US snack foods. So....what exactly would a Canadian think is specifically US food?

Mac and cheese? Ramen - or is that universal? Certain breakfast cereals?

its a surprise so I donít want to ask him what he wants. Trust me, heís not making a boat load of money and will appreciate anything.

ask my American friends for candy and chocolate that we don't have:
Mallo Cups, Almond Joy, 100 Grand, Chunky etc. You can look up chocolate that is only available in the US to send. We have some bars the same, but different chocolate providers. I also get my mom to go to Target to get me Fruity Pebbles lol. She is in Orlando now getting me some.

Ramen is universal, but our mac and cheese is called KD (Kraft Dinner). I don't know what the ingredient differences would be

My son always asks me to get Apple Jacks cereal and unfrosted pop tarts, neither of which we can get up here.

I love all the varieties of American cereals. You also have so many more pop flavours than we do. But pop is kind of heavy to mail!

You have a really yummy peanut butter cookie that my friend loves...I can't think of what they are called though...it is like a peanut butter wafer with a peanut butter spread inside, sort of like an Oreo. Oh and all your Oreo flavours!

What a nice idea!

Is it Nutterbutters? I had them when I was in the USA and wished we had them in Canada!

I just saw the nutterbutter cereal at superstore yesterday, and trix. I think we are suddenly getting an influx of American cereal here, so that's exciting lol
