Wonderful Visit Today

We had a most wonderful visit with my sister-in-law today. She lives about 2.5 hours away in MA. It was fun to drive through Boston and not be stopping at the doctors or hospital. She has such a delightful Victorian apartment and decorates every nook for Christmas. We stuffed ourselves on lobster meat with drawn butter. She had the meat all pulled and cut up in bite size pieces. Told her if she'll make that again we'll be down once a month. After years of being a Children's Librarian she is also happy to be retired.
PS Have to say DH handled the Boston traffic like a pro. Can't imagine doing commuting everyday.

And lobster for lunch? Wow! How yummy is that? Lucky you! Glad you made the drive for a fun reason this time.

I love the Boston area, although you are so right, the driving there is not for the faint of heart. My best friend and neighbor has a son who lives in Sommerville, just outside of Boston. This fall, we visited a friend who has a cottage on the Cape, and we went to the Boston Holiday Gift and Craft Show in downtown Boston near the harbor, and had some great dinners. Then, we had a nice visit with her son, his wife and grandkids and had and had a chance to go back to the show. Nothing like fresh New England lobster! I'm glad your SIL is enjoying retirement. I hope you have many more wonderful visits with no medical appointments attached.
