I went home sick today. I think I have only done this a few times in my career. Other times it was when my kids were little.

I was okay until around 10:30. Then I went to a meeting and basically put my head down. Got back to my room and wasn't doing better. 99.9 temperature, feeling sick...wasn't going to stay. I felt bad for leaving, but I couldn't do my job well enough. Principal told me I had to do what I had to do. She's not empathetic AT ALL!

I wasn't able to attend a church function tonight because of it. If I get up, I feel sick.

Hopefully will feel better tomorrow.

You did the right thing leaving early and taking care of yourself. Stay home tomorrow, rest up and feel better.

You absolutely did the right thing. You need to stay home tomorrow since you were running a fever today. You need to rest, and also not spread your germs.

No guilt allowed! You deserve to use your sick time- this is what itís for.

You need to take care of yourself and did that. Call out tomorrow and truly take care of yourself without worry.

I'm sorry you're sick and that your principal wasn't very caring.

I do agree with the others. No guilt for leaving early; you didn't get sick on purpose, or leave "just because." I also think you should go ahead and call out tomorrow, avoid spreading germs, and give your body real time to recover. Feel better soon!
