It's that time again!

Looking forward to:

Short week/Thanksgiving break/Time off of School/Sleeping in/Celebrating Thanksgiving
Trying a new recipe
Some fun activities I am doing with the class
Hopefully getting to see a movie or two over Thanksgiving Break

Not looking forward to:
-Snowstorm coming in/Colder Weather
-Kids being crazy with the break, snow, activities, etc.
-Preparing an Advent activity I do every year that's fun, but in a PITA to get ready
-Having to make a difficult decision with this committee I'm on
-Dealing with fall-out/drama from a girl in my class and her mom who I swear are out to get me and feel others are blinded by mom and daughter's manipulative ways
-Getting caught up on grading
-Getting absent kids caught up

Looking forward to:
*getting my “real made for me” hearing aids on Tuesday (Did I mention I can hear?)
*delicious food on Thursday
*putting out my Santas
*starting individual Christmas card notes (I got fun—I hope—picture cards and red Flairs to write on the backs)

Not looking forward to:
*Car check-up on Wednesday is supposed to be a very rainy day. I am not fond of walking in the rain.
*writing delivery addresses on Christmas card envelopes (thanks to Jackie for the suggestion of pre-printed return address—they look great and I don’t have to write my own address a zillion times)
*the dreaded scale—such a hard time of year for weight management for me

Looking forward to:

Putting Christmas cards in the drive through drop off at the post office because they are all filled out with messages, addressed and stamped!
Done

Sewing a casual toddler Christmas dress - red with Santas material, so cute

Planting pansies in the pots on the back deck-love the splashed of bright yellow and purple in the winter months!

Gathering with family members for Thanksgiving, about 25-30 people, but I'm not doing the hosting! I've already bought the items that I'm bringing, so I don't have to brave the crowded pre-Thanksgiving grocery crowd

Wrapping Christmas presents-all shopping is done! Yea!

Not looking forward to:

Sorry, can't think of anything. I'm blessed!

I'm looking forward to spending time with my brother as we travel from SoCal to Northern Nevada to be with family. Good company and good food! Looking forward to long off leash hikes with my dog in the northern hills.

I am not looking forward to the very cold weather and possible snow that is predicted. Brrr...
I will miss my cat but two friends will make sure he has everything he needs.

-extra time to spend with my grandson
-hearing a local, indigenous band on Tuesday

Not looking forward to:
-lousy kid behavior
-trying to organize concert details and dealing with the spate of obstacles and problems that will, no doubt, be brought to my attention at the last minute so I can worry about them over break

-cooking and cleaning up after Thanksgiving dinner, half of which I won't be able to eat.
-more overcast, snowy weather
-listening to gunfire and putting on blaze orange to get the mail
