Would love some recommendations for picture books to read to fourth grade students for both the beginning of the year and also favorites for the rest of the year. Thx!

Marvelous Mattie -nonfiction/child inventor

Ghost's Hour, Spooks Hour- onomatopoeia great read aloud for Halloween



The Mary Celeste:An Unsolved Mystery From History-nonfiction

Wilma Unlimited-nonfiction

Dogzilla- simple story with great play on words

Kat Kong- simple story with great play on Words

The Boy of a Thousand Faces- great Halloween read aloud

Polar the Titanic Bear- story told by the stuffed polar bear

Round Trip by Ann Jonas- great art work! You read the book and then when you get to the end you turn it upside down and read it backwards. The illustrations work both ways! Very creative! I read this when I teach how to solve word problems by working backwards.

Each orange Has Eight Slices- multiplication interactive read aloud

All math puzzle books by Greg Tang

Tara & Bella- a story of friendship between an elephant and a dog/nonfiction

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Bubba, The Cowboy Prince- fractured fairy tale
