Clip to ScrapBook #1

7th grade boy was absent today. I subbed for the same teacher today and Monday (different sub yesterday as I wasn't available). Apparently "Max" went to the office Monday after school and complained that I was bullying him. If he means I expected him to sit down, be quiet, and do his work, yes....I used proximity to get and keep him on task. In other words, I was on him like flies on s--t. So, he knew I was returning today, and he wasn't at school Boohoo. I had both is bio-dad (who he both acts and looks like) and his stepdad as students. The apple doesn't fall far from either tree.

I would make sure your buddy “Max” knew every time you were going to be subbing in his class.

I actually had a student ask if I had a problem with his group (high school) because I was watching them closely. My response was, "No, if I had a problem with you guys, you'd be the first to know". He didn't like the idea that I did use proximity to keep the volume down.

I just wanted to set the tone that I wasn't a push over and rules are rules.
