Hovercam issues - please help!

Today has been one big technology nightmare. I guess I should feel lucky because things have been working up until now.
My hovercam solo8 will not work. When I click to launch it, I keep getting a message that says it cannot find the camera. When that happens, I unplug it and plug it in again and all is well. Not today.
Here is what I have tried so far:
Restart computer
Unplug and plug in everything
Uninstall software and reinstall it
Cleared cache
Called Hovercam and submitted a work ticket
Called my district's tech support and waiting to hear from them
Is there anything else I can try? Thank you!
