Funny story...

When I was in middle school not only did I get my very first “grown-up” stereo but it had a CD player. My very first cd’s that I bought with my hard earned allowance & babysitting money were Janet Jackson’s “If” and “Whoomp There It Is”. Both songs were hot in the middle school dance playlist

Fast forward to many many years later and I’m shopping at a store minding my own business in the aisle and I hear someone’s phone ringer playing “Whoomp There It Is”. I’m enjoying it but it’s continuing and getting louder and no one is answering it... (you can see where this is going, right?) ... it’s at the point of the song where it says “ Boom shackalaka” and it’s pretty loud and now other people in the aisle are looking for the source of this music. It’s at that precise moment of locking eyes with a stranger in a sympathy nod of “how rude are some people” when I realize it’s.my.phone *face palm*

My DH had switched my ringtone just for funsies

So now whenever I see that commercial or hear that song that’s ALL I can remember
