I've had the same sauce pans for as long as I can remember. I don't need a whole new set, just maybe one or two. I thought I could cheat and just buy a couple of cheaper ones from Walmart, but I noticed they don't feel as solid or sturdy as my old ones. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for where or what brand I should look for to find individual sauce pans.
I bought a few odd pieces from Marshall’s. I liked the size, weight and sturdiness so I took a chance. I don’t know the name but the price was great as well as the quality. I’m getting ready to chuck my not so great pans.
I bought a set of Food Network brand from Kohls a few years ago, and I really like them. They are a good weight and not too expensive. I bought the whole set, but I just looked and you can buy individual pieces.
I'm loving their stuff. Blue carbon steel skillets are awesome, lighter and more nonstick than cast iron. That prompted me to buy their saucepans (not carbon steel) and stock pot. I think the prices are reasonable and they seem well made to me.
I haven't been in Marshall's or TJ Max since the pandemic started, so I don't know what they have right now. I get my cookware from either one. They often have some really good brands on sale. I have both a Calphalon and an All-Clad sauce pan, and both are solid with a good heft.
I am another one who gets my cookware from TJ Maxx. I cook a ton and they have held up really well. I ditched my set of cookware years ago as it had seen better days. I just purchased individual pieces I knew I would use.
No idea on brands. I just get what looks/feels good
Thanks to all who posted their recommendations. I don't do online/mail order for reasons I won't go into, so I'm glad some stores were mentioned that I can check out.
I got this set from Amazon after Christmas and have been pleased so far. It’s my first time using something other than nonstick and these have been great.
I replaced my 30 year old pans this summer with a set of Circulon pans from Kohls. My sister told me I had to buy them and she was right!!! They are heavy, have nice glass lids, and are a dream to clean! I bought mine when I had a 30% off coupon.
I have a set of Maitre Chef 18/10 Stainless steel pots with ceramic discs in the base that I am very happy with. I have had them for years. I looked at some saucepans at other stores but they didn't seem as durable. Then I went to an kitchen outlet store (can't remember the name of the store) and I bought a few Revereware saucepans that I am also happy with.
