I checked out a dvd set from the library. I can keep it for one week. It has six seasons and it took me two days to watch season one. I felt like I watched for most of the day yesterday, but it was really about 3 1/2 hours, split into three different viewing times. I swear my brain feels like mush today. I like the show a lot but there is no way I can watch enough each day to finish it in time.
I’m an all-or-nothing person. Most days I watch zero television. Other days I watch it all day long. We once went for over 6 months without turning on the television once.
Too many anymore, for sure. I am not going to count it up and I don't actually count watching on my ipad when I am doing other things- like sewing or lesson planning type things. I only count it if I am sitting at the couch and working a puzzle or knitting. Often in the winter I sit for a majority of the evening after dinner is cleaned up watching tv. 7 until bed?
1-2 hours, tops. When I "binge" watch something, all that means is I only watch that show for a week or two. I don't watch anything else until I'm done with it.
I could never watch six seasons of anything in a week! If I were you, I'd take a break and check it out again later.
Our tv is on from when DH wakes up to bedtime. I have come to enjoy getting up an hour before him and enjoy the peace and quiet for an hour in the morning. I watch probable 2-3 hours total. I do listen to a lot of podcasts, though!
Our TV is off all day as both my DH and DS work from home. One office is right by the living room so it's easier if it's off. We have a tv in the bedroom that hasn't been on in years. I don't even know why we have it still.
We prefer series on Amazon or Netflix over tv most of the time so if we are in the middle of a series, we watch most nights for maybe 2-3 hours.
Depends on the day, but I almost never actually just sit and watch (only if I'm watching something with subtitles and I *have* to watch). I usually have the TV going while I do other stuff. So a good portion of the day on the weekends and a few hours in the evening on the weekdays. Most of this is more like background.
Pre-pandemic it was 1-2 hours per day at most; maybe more if it was a lazy weekend day where I had no plans, but I pretty much always had plans either Saturday or Sunday at least. Now, tons more because I don't have much other entertainment. I live alone so there aren't other people here to do other things with.
It is a bit less now that we're back to school in person, at least on weeknights. On school nights it's maybe 2 hours, sometimes less. On weekends, at least double that.
All four years of college I didn't own a TV and I didn't find that I missed it at all. But, it was college, so I also had a booming social life at the time...
DH watches a lot and has to have the tv on even if he's doing something else. I glance occasionally when he says "look at this!" during the day and then we watch together in the evening. I will occasionally watch something on my ipad if I know it's something he won't enjoy.
Way too much since COVID. Before the pandemic I would be out most of the day and on weekends. DH and I traveled about every 6 weeks, too.
Now it’s on a lot. I exercise about 90 minutes each morning and then watch news types of programs about 30 minutes before I jump in the shower. At noon I like to watch GMA 3 because it’s a little news and COVID information. Then I watch in the evening after dinner for several hours. I also like cooking shows. The pandemic has us watching more things like all the seasons of Schitt’s Creek, the Undoing, Bridgerton, etc. We are also big sports fans so there’s usually a game on even if we’re are not actually sitting down watching it.
I really need this pandemic to end because my mind is turning to mush.
If I'm very into a series, I can watch a few episodes a night.
Mostly, though, I watch in 20 minute spurts then take breaks to surf the web, then do another 20 minute spurt. Repeat this cycle a couple times till I am tired enough to fall asleep. So, I guess I watch about an hour a night?

This is what I do too; I thought I was the only one . Sometimes my "spurts" are even less than 20 minutes. I honestly tend to waste way more time on my computer than I do with TV. I almost never just sit down and watch an entire episode at once.
And another thing- since the pandemic and other events this year I've started watching the nightly news religiously. Previously, the only time I actually sat down and watched nightly news was if there was a big snow storm coming and I wanted to hear thoughts about a potential snow day . So that's 30 minutes extra I wasn't watching before.
I have the TV on most of the day more for background noise and company. I watch way too much news throughout the day but rarely sit and watch a movie or show during the day. I usually sit (or watch in bed) about two hours of TV in the evening before I go to sleep.
I guess usually about two hours because I enjoy watching Rachel Maddow and The Last Word every night from 9-11. Otherwise I only watch SNL now and then and the occasional baseball game during baseball season.
