Maybe some of you that sell your item on Teachers Pay Teachers can help me out. I find things on there that are so useful and cute and have purchased many items. How do people come up with fonts and clip art and all the cute graphics? I'm assuming that if you use clipart from a site (like Thistlegirl, etc) you can't resell items using that clipart for profit can you? Do the people that create the teaching materials somehow also create all those cute fonts and pictures? I was just thinking about this today as I was browsing and thought I would ask!

I don't sell on TPT but do know depending on the artist/designer you need a reseller's license to sell their clip art. You also need to look at each company/artist's terms of use before selling it. (Is it for personal use only or do they allow it for commercial use. Do you need to state credit in your document etc).

It all depends on the terms of use for the clipart company. Usually, they have to pay for commercial license which can get really expensive. Thistlegirl is about $200 for the license plus the clipart.
