Google Classroom--Google Slides or Google Doc

Still so new at this so everything is a question. I finally learned how to assign an assignment for my fourth graders if I chose a Google Doc and I controlled the assignment. Tomorrow I want to add choice..

I want my fourth graders to choose how they want to present the details that would have been in a paragraph, and part of my Monday routine. They can still choose Google Docs, but how do I create an assignment if they can also choose Google Slides or Google Draw as a means to an end?

Thanks all for your support here with Distance Learning. It is quite the journey!

Attach a blank slides and drawing. I usually label it so they know what it belongs to

Sounds like what I do for Google Docs. I assume I make a copy for each student and they have the freedom to be creative. Thank you.

If you create the assignment, students should have the option to then click Create within the assignment and choose a doc or slides. It's then automatically attached to that assignment for that individual student.
