I just finished the few DD will open here, hence no tags (all others were mailed). I don’t have a tree, just Santas. I’ll sing, the presents were placed under the view with care.
I’m happy to be done with this simple task. What about you?
This is where I’m at...except change kids to “kid and dog are causing mayhem.” Oh, and my brother is currently replacing my cooktop so I know I can’t pull off any recipe right now.
I have to wrap presents for Man, Boy, and Boy's GF. The things for Boy and his GF are in the living room mocking me. The things for Man are in a bag in the bedroom also mocking me. I plan on doing things in stages starting on Monday. We're going to be Social Distance Santa on Thursday so it must be done by then. I'd make Man wrap Boy's presents but he puts everything in a bag and says. "done!" When I explain that it would be nicer to have different things in different bags (socks vs fold up chairs), he looks at me blankly. sigh
We also don't have a tree so some presents will be placed on the hearth with care and others will be placed in a box outside a door with care.
I've been wrapping 4 presents a day and I should be finished everything in two more days. It's mostly toys and clothes for my two grandkids and we've all been together since March so it will be nice to be here for Christmas morning and see them all being unwrapped! It is a strange Christmas this year but hope is on the horizon with the vaccine. I'm ready to get back to living a "carefree" life!
Amiga....I bought Bombas socks for my DD and SIL....and myself. I never spent so much on socks before in my life so I sure hope they like them!!!
I wrapped the few gifts I have my granddaughters yesterday. I’m babysitting today so I don’t want them to see their gifts unwrapped. No gifts for anyone else. It’s been a long, difficult year and it’s not going to be any easier for awhile.
I was so pleased to actually have most gifts wrapped before Dec. 1st this year. Not the norm for me. I do have a few late arrivals that will be wrapped tomorrow or Monday.
I have most of DGDs and DDILs gifts wrapped. But I struggle every year with the rest. Both my children have birthdays in the week following Christmas. I need to take stock of the gifts and decide which ones are Christmas presents and which are for birthdays. I always wrap the birthday gifts in birthday wrap. Then I need my DH to actually leave the house for a few hours so I can wrap his gifts.
I love wrapping presents (I know, I know.... I'm the oddball), so the majority of mine have been wrapped and ready to go for about a week now. I love seeing them under the tree.
I typically wrap all the presents for my mom, but due to Covid I guess she'll do her own this year. I see bags in her future.
I actually love wrapping gifts as well. Though I’m single so not wrapping the volume of gifts that many parents or people in large families are. I always help my best friend wrap the mountains of gifts she has to wrap.
I only buy for two people for Christmas and they both live out of state so items were wrapped by Thanksgiving and mailed out right after.
My mom hates wrapping so always pays for the gift wrap on Amazon and just has it shipped directly to my house.
I don’t like gift wrapping but I’m an “eat your veggies and get it out of the way” kind of person so everything that has been delivered has been wrapped. Still waiting on a couple of deliveries next week.
I have all packages wrapped and sent. I am now have to do my son's family and daughter. I am avoiding it. The packages are large and are going to difficult to wrap. I have been avoiding it.
I've been wrapping and watching Christmas movies most of the day. I have the kids help wrap theirs. The each give a gift to 7 people. And they are incredibly slow. We have a big Christmas. Traditionally it was the only time of year my sister and I got anything (clothes, toys, whatever) and the big Christmas has stuck around.
I usually end up wrapping Christmas Eve. I think I'll be way ahead of that this year. I'm hoping to wrap on Monday.
Tape is not a problem! Got tons of that. Pulled the wrapping bag out today, but didn't look yet.
Much less to wrap...DS gave me links and I ordered and shipped to Denmark. No wrapping for me! Extended family not coming this year. Ordered and had delivered to my mom's for here and sister. Out $$ in brothers bank account. Do have to wrap up SIL stuff nicely and then DD & DH. 30 minutes tops! I'm a no nonsense wrapper!
All Christmas shopping done by November 1st.
All wrapping done over the weekend after Thanksgiving Day.
Figured things needed to be done early and not put off due to the uncertain times we are in lately with the possibility of getting sick with the virus, not doing in person shopping in the stores, things being out of stock, delayed shipping.
I'm doing the gifts for my grandson tomorrow. I am not in the Christmas spirit at all. I didn't put up the tree or decorations. Bah humbug! Looking forward to going big next year. I really just want Christmas to be over. All I want for Christmas is a Covid vaccination!
There's a very large Christmas bag stuffed with unwrapped presents, a still-unwrapped roll of paper that I saw on sale, and a new three-pack of tape in the corner of my room. I lifted it the other day to vacume under it. No tree this year but I do have a very ugly wreath on the door that my son picked out. Think plastic purple ribbon and some dangling purple presents. Umm...thanks?
Why do I have to buy three-packs of tape? I hardly use the stuff and can't find it when I do need it.
I am spatially challenged, so my gifts do not end up looking nice when I wrap.
Dh has spent time yesterday and today, and has all the grandkids done. We just have to do the gifts for their parents tomorrow (not much- one large gift/ person).
I am thankful that if I buy (figure out and order)them, he will wrap!
I haven't even started Christmas wrapping, I still need to get 2 gift cards before I'm finished with my shopping. I'm only wrapping for my niece & nephew, parents, and DH though, so it won't take too long.
I love wrapping when I'm not rushed and stressed. Up until today I had only done the few gifts we had mailed. The kids went to my mom's today and I turned on the music, lit a peppermint candle and got started. I'm probably a little less than halfway done now. I had to do the Santa gifts and then hide the paper so DH won't use it. I will have to tackle the rest after bedtime or when the kids go to daycare on Monday.
This year I ordered everything for DH, and it is either in the delivery box or a gift bag. The pups, guinea pigs, and grandpups are getting toys in a gift bag. DH bought cards for DS and Partner, and we put money in them.
Doing it all today! I cleaned the house, did laundry and changed the beds yesterday. Today, I'm setting up in my bedroom with Christmas movies and wrapping straight through until it's DONE!
I have not decorated the tree. DD23 and I decorated the whole house a couple of weeks ago, and it looks great. We put up the tree (artificial) and put the lights on. But DD20 isn't home from college yet, and she wants to decorate the tree. So I'm waiting patiently until tomorrow.
