Good News about Covid Prevention

I'm already taking Vitamin D3 and other supplements daily as preventive measures against Covid on the advice of doctors. It looks like Vitamin D usage is gaining support from those in the trenches.

Is anyone else using supplements/vitamins in the fight against Covid?

Yup! There's a thread a little ways down the page about Vit. D.

My chiro suggested to me, knowing my normal levels, to up mine quite a bit. He said the studies that he's seen say anyone with Vit D levels above 60 best off for not getting it or getting mild case. Above 70 and if gotten you shouldn't have more than a sniffle.

teachnkids, that's great to know!

I should've browsed through the topics before posting.

I take Vit D3 normally but have added zinc and vit C to my daily routine. My DH takes the same but also uses Flonase. I did get COVID before Christmas but it was very mild. Cold symptoms and a slight headache for 3 days. I lost smell and taste a couple of days later so I got tested. DH never did get sick.

My hip replacement surgeon prescribed 5,000 units during my recovery for hip surgery and said I should just keep taking it as a preventive measure against COVID and said my DH should do it too. The surgeon takes it and has his wife and kids take it as well. That was a good enough endorsement for me. We just bought a large bottle at Costco and take 1 pill a day. Easy Peasy.
