I'm on Season 2 and am having a hard time staying focused. I always manage to get distracted, lose interest, and stop watching. Would you recommend I keep going? Does it get better? Or maybe it's just not for me? I do like history.
It might not be for you. I would have bet this show wasn’t for me, but I loved it. It’s just the current season focuses more on her kids and Princess Diana, so even though we haven’t gotten to her death you know it’s coming up in the next season whenever that is.
I found the last season hard to watch sometimes because I loved Diana. It's a fictionalized account, but it does really show what a raw deal she got when she married Charles. I enjoyed the earlier seasons more. I love the series though!

I find it's a show that you really have to pay attention to. If you're losing interest I'd just stop. IMO the seasons are similar in terms of how they catch your interest.

I think this season was particularly interesting because it's a time that many of us lived through and remember the actual news stories about it.
I agree. Although I had no interest when it was really happening I do remember a lot of the news stories.
Good to know, thanks! I hear such rave reviews, so I've been kind of forcing myself to watch it. It's not that I don't like it, I just can't stay engaged.
I loved The Crown but felt the same way during the second season when I first started watching. It felt very slow to me at times. I stopped and came back a few months later. I was able to get through it and really enjoyed season 3.
I thoroughly agree with your thoughts Hifi. What a depressing , expensive and useless institution. I'd love to see a 21st century sweep out of Charles and an installation of William. That would straighten things up a bit.
