Yes, it's about my much hated Samsung dishwasher again. Last time I brought it back from the brink for several months now, but it's finally had it. I don't want to spend the money on a new one right now, but I promise I will throw a party when this POS leaves our house for good. However, tonight we suffered. Basically every dish in the house was dirty and we had to wash them by hand. By hand! I totally get that cave people back in the Jurassic era had to wash their dishes by hand, but I figure the first dishwasher had to have been invented around the time the first castle sprung up. You can't have a huge castle and still wash dishes by hand. It's unseemly.
I've ordered a new one online and it will be delivered on Monday. Until then it's paper plates and disposable cups just like our early ancestors did. If those run out I'm fully willing to throw out whatever glass or plate we've used and buy replacements.
You could do what the football players across the way did from me in college: they piled all their dirty dishes in the bed of of one guy’s truck and took them to the car wash.
Yes! I’m the only one dirtying dishes, but I’ve been dishwasherless for 6 weeks and I hate it. The new appliances were delivered today and there was a problem with the dw hookup so it’s sitting in the middle of the kitchen taunting me until Monday. I feel your pain.
I had always imagined I would go with Bosch, but I noticed last time I thought I needed one that the reviews weren't nearly as good as they once were. Today I saw the same trend. This particular model seemed to be highly regarded. We'll see.
We ordered new kitchen appliances and got Samsung for everything, except for the dishwasher. The salesman said that Samsung dishwashers are crappy. We bought a label-neutral (name is on the inside so it matches other appliances) Bosch and it has worked perfectly for 3 years now!
I have a friend who has had issues with the ice maker in the Samsung refrigerator. They had to replace it numerous times and now it is out of warranty.
Mine hasn't worked in years and I don't miss it at all. It is just perfect for storing my many sheet pans and the top rack holds all my clean dish towels. I go through lots of dish towels when I'm baking and having clean ones nearby is great.
I live in a very crummy rundown "cave" of a house. California rents are just too high. It doesn't even have a dishwasher. I have lived here for going on 10 years. The worst is in the summer, when its 107 outside (this cave also lacks central air) and I have to stick my hands in that hot soapy water
We do use A LOT of paper plates and plastic cups and plastic flatware. I use every trick in the book to limit the dishes, including disposable backing pans and disposable liners for the crock pot. Ugh dishes
