Looking to land in North Carolina

Hi,
I currently teach at an IB World school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I've taught 3rd grade for 12 years and this school has really expanded my practice in using project-based learning, a concept-based curriculum, and just generally meeting the students where they are. We'll be returning to the US next year and it looks like North Carolina might be what we call home. I just don't know where to start looking though. There are not very many IB schools in the state, but I really want to stay in a school with a more progressive model. However, all any websites or searches reveal are test scores. Is there anyone on the ground that can point me in a direction to start? Search terms I could use? Cities to look into? Any help is appreciated!
