My school district got us the Intro Kit to Wilson reading that I am supposed to use with the 2nd-4th grade students on my caseload.

It was given to me last Monday and I'm supposed to start next Monday. I've read the Instructor Manual and dictation book/readers/etc, but I'm really confused at how a lesson looks. For example, how many sounds do I introduce at a time?

Anyone have any advice?

Wow...they didn't send you to a training class? Did they instruct you in how to assess students with the WADE so you know their strengths/needs? This will tell you whether to start in substep 1.1 or move to 1.3, and which sounds need to be introduced or reinforced. The Instructor Manual will tell you which sounds to introduce. I have the 3rd edition and it's f,l,m,n,r,s,d,g,p,t for consonants in 1.1 and vowels a, i, o. Good luck! Be careful with the YouTube videos as sometimes people don't always follow the procedures with fidelity. For example, they don't always "clip" the sounds: Example - B and other consonants are NOT pronounced with an /uh/ sound after.
