I might be losing my mind. My spouse got an e-bike for his last birthday, and we just bought mine and it is ready to be picked up. Great! He goes out to charge up the bike so we can go for a ride, but the charger is nowhere to be found. Ugh. The garage is mostly his domain and it is generally a hot mess (at least for my preferences). But they are his tools/projects and I like being married so I usually steer clear. So after he left for work this morning I went out to look for it—I started in one corner and worked my way around the whole garage, looking and putting things away as I went. I put eyes and hands on every square inch of the garage but couldn't find it. Next I looked through his office closet () and same thing. I just don't understand. And yes, I can cough up the $60 to get a new one, but I'm annoyed—he's only had it for five months! It has to be somewhere.

Did he go somewhere where he might have taken the charger in the car?

we have e bikes and my dh sounds like yours. I made a spot for the charger and that is where it stays. We do have two chargers but we keep the second one at it future retirement house. Same thing though. It has a home and the rules don’t allow him to move it!

Aren't the batteries huge? So I thought the actual charger might be too. Maybe not though? Gosh I hope you find it. We're thinking of getting e bikes in the future.

Our chargers are in a kitchen cabinet. Have you tried looking in less obvious places?

I'm not sure that I know what a bike charger looks like or how big it is, but could it be in a duffle bag somewhere with other bike accessories like gloves or a tire kit? Would it be small enough that it could be hanging off the bike on a side that isn't readily visible? My husband tends to keep bins and/or boxes of things like batteries and chargers thrown together. I'm not always sure if they belong to anything we currently own or if they work, but it can get be quite a Pandora's Box. If it were my husband, he might have tossed it in a box like that and called it "organizing"

It may look like the power cord for a computer, or it may look like the charger for, say, a battery-powered weedeater. You might just be overlooking it?

The charger is about the size of a laptop charger. I spent three hours in the garage cleaning up and putting away everything on his side, then spent 30 minutes going through my organized shelves.

Then I spent an hour in the office getting everything tidied up and still couldn't find it. Ugh.

The thing is our house is about 1200 Sq feet, so there's not a lot of places it could be. And, outside of his two places that I don't usually mess with, I'm a little (!) rigid about keeping the house tidy/clutter-free. I feel better when everything is in the right place.

Just got back from the bike shop—they don't have any extras in stock and it will take 2-3 weeks to get one in. There's one other dealer in the state so I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.
