My mini whiteboards

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Earlier today I posted about my deal of the day, $1 for a roll of adhesive whiteboard. I spent the night making my mini whiteboards for the students to use. I thought these would be cute to use instead of scrap paper and great for when the big ones aren't really necessary. You can even see how well the crayon erases off it. I had to post a picture...haha!!

Thanks to the person who made clipboards from coasters - it was my inspiration!

Thanks for the kind words. I have to admit they turned out pretty cute. I found the whiteboard adhesive at Dollarama. I only bought one roll because I figured it would be cheap and no good - I was wrong!! I bought the cardboard coasters at Michaels, $1.50/8...I think they would be $1 in the US stores. I just cut out the adhesive, took the back off and stuck it on the coaster. Of course I have to go back to Dollarama and buy more whiteboard stuff tomorrow. I don't know what I'll use it for but I'll be happy even putting it in the cupboard for next year. Once other teachers around here find out they have it it will be gone..haha!!

I used the crayola dry erase crayons but I have rose art dry erase markers in school that I'm going to try too.

Did you trace the coaster onto the marker board paper stuff and cut it out and then stick it on?

No I didn't trace it. It comes with a grid on the back of it so I counted that I need 10.5 squares by 10.5 squares and then cut it out. After I stuck it on I used my scissors to just cut around the edges to take off any extra. I was able to get 28 little boards from one roll.

Is there a brand name on the roll and is it labeled dry erase? I would like to find the rolls, but that store isn't in my area.

The package says Adhesive Whiteboard - Turns any smooth surface into a white board! It is Dollarama product number 02-3011813

I know Dollarama is a Canadian chain but maybe you'll be able to find it at a dollar store in your area. I also noticed you can buy the crayola whiteboard adhesive but it is far more expensive. If it came in sheets I could mail you some but it comes on a roll.
