Does anyone have a board that just lists what is currently be taught and what the objectives are? I'd sure appreciate a few photos of this too.

We type ours and print as a one page poster. The we put them in those plastic sleeves for binders and post them in the room in one place so they are visible at a glance.

We put up and objective and agenda for each lesson. Our principal said that we should only have our I Can statements for the current lesson so the students don't get confused. I just put them up on a corner of the white board and then erase it at the end of the lesson.

Ours are supposed to be specific to the lesson being taught, not general ideas. For example:

I can classify a triangle in relation to its angles as acute, right, or obtuse.

NOT

I can classify a triangle.

I can statements

I've tried different things from writing them on the board, placing them with the strategy posters on the focus wall, having them on sentence strips on a pockets charts, and laminating construction paper and then writing them with a vis a vis marker. Finally, what I have done that I will continue to do this year is hot glue some clothespins on the wall and then clip a legal size copy of the I can there in the front of the room (where our admins like them). Since we have to include our I can statements in our lesson plans, I siimply copy, paste, and enlarge the font into a new word document and then print. It also makes it easy to forward on to team members since we departmentalized last year.
