Dear Tonya,
I had a website for 6 years and last year switched to a blog. A blog is free and so much easier to use. Goodluck with your decision.
Peace,

I use TeacherWeb. It's only $39 a year and you can do a lot with it.

I love Shutterfly share sites. http://www.shutterfly.com/sites/crea...4d2d5d0ee86b57

They have a template for teachers. It is free, looks professional, and easy to maintain.

Here is my free site on Shutterfly...although it has not been updated since June! It is super user-friendly, and received administrator's compliments - phew.

Please notice that there are no faces...we are not allowed to post them!! Makes for some fun photo-taking and editing!

I use a wiki, which is just like working with a Word document. I'll be honest, I don't do much with my website. I keep saying I will, but I never do! I know many teachers at my school also have a Weebly as their website. They say it's even easier to use than a Wiki...and a wiki is really easy!

I also use Shutterfly b/c of recommendations from PTers!!

Here is my site...I am just beginning this process - and I'm making it for my master's program so it's for other teachers, not for students/parents. But it's directed at science teachers. There isn't much there, but you can get the idea!!

Since the final project is due in October, I should be getting finished sometime soon!!

I use iWeb on my Apple. It is easy to use and since I have a mobile me account the hosting is free. However I am toying with the idea of buying a domain... have to convince the DH that it is a worthwhile investment first!!

weebly.com - this is FREE super easy and looks professional. You can upgrade - but I have not found the need to. In order to add videos - which you need to pay for on weebly - I will link to my wikispaces pages.

my site is undergoing major overhaul this summer so things may be completly out of place and not make much sense for a while.

4 years now and I absolutely LOVE it! My website is http://mrshills.shutterfly.com. You can private message me for the password. Please note that it has taken me a few years to really figure out exactly how I want my website; this did not happen over night.
The best part is that it is password protected, so I can upload pictures and videos.
I love it because it is so EASY. It is easy to add pages, sections, pictures, files, websites - almost anything you want to add! It walks you through every part.
The best advice I can give is to just JUMP IN and play around with it! Don't be scared, because you can always delete a section if it's not want you wanted. Let me know if you have more questions. Have fun!

http://new.schoolnotes.com/

My page is at http://new.schoolnotes.com/huttonshome/.

They have a free version. I started with it, then paid around $20 per year to be able to add graphics and fancy fonts. (So what you see on mine is not the basic version.)

I love it!! My favorite part is adding links so that when I take my students to computer lab, they only have to learn my webpage address, then they can just click on the link from my page.

Third grade typing errors make it very hard to visit webpages on the web!
